| Physical Description | Physical Description Evy is lithe for her height, even though she’s used to gravity heavier than what most Federation ships are. Her hair is usually just long enough to be pulled back into a messy, short ponytail. She switches from bangs to no bangs on a regular basis when the mood suits. She has a couple of scars scattered throughout her body that usually are only noticeable when she is outside of her uniform. A couple of long marks along the outside of her forearms from a knife attack, a burn to the upper right side of her chest and another one to the lower left abdomen from a plasma projectile from an encounter with the Jem’Hadar. Under her hairline, she has a small port that’s barely visible because of her hair. Her right eye is darker than her left due to her ocular implant. Under bright light, the tips of her fingers and her palms appear gray instead of her normal skin tone. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Quiet and with a keen sense of awareness, Evy keeps away from those that she really doesn't know. Most of her time before entering Starfleet Academy was classified upon receiving refugee status. Even though she appears human on the outside, she is far from it, and tries to keep herself safe by not opening up to others all that often. When someone finds out that she is not as she appears to be, her answers are usually vague and nondescript as it was a painful part of her life that she tries to forget. She will avoid large crowds as much as possible, as well as conflict situations. Her bubbly personality will show once she warms up to someone. Those that are close to her, leave her past where it belongs. Her interests are varied, and her history could be considered colorful. She rarely discusses herself and usually is kept buried in a mound of paperwork or focused on the mission at hand. |

| Personal History | Evy was born into the Southern Engineering sector in 2354. She entered at the normal age of eight as per her species customs. Here she learned the things that she would need to know to do her prescribed job of Damage Control when she became of age. When she became of age at fifteen, she received her standard cadence of implants: an ocular, cochlear, and communications. However, before she really got to learn her damage control specialty, she was conscripted into Military service. Here her implants were upgraded and received additional implants during Military training. She trained as a long range/specialist reconnaissance officer and as one of two medics on her recon team. The majority of their time in the field was spent advancing on the Northern Province. Most of the Ekahl people didn’t understand the background behind the war. Anyone who had been able were conscripted as the war escalated between the provinces. After the War imploded killing the majority of their people, the survivors banded together to make way for a couple of candidate colony sites to make their new homeworld. At the age of eighteen, she embarked on the first real chance of having a choice with her life. The survivors left the authoritative utilitarian government behind and they became more willing to allow freedom of choice to whom they want to mate with. Here is where she met Arun. They were in the same section together and started taking a liking to each other and would sneak away into the guts of the colony ship, which was the only place they really could get any privacy. One thing led to another and she ended up pregnant shortly before the first Jem'Hadar attack on their vessels. The first attack decimated the Ekahl people, and stranded them. After a couple of months, they were able to cobble together their resources and survivors consolidated into one working vessel. Since that attack, they struggled to keep away from the Jem'Hadar and continued to fight them off and on throughout the years. In 2374, as she was nearing her delivery date, she got caught protecting kids by the Jem'Hadar and she took a shot to the abdomen. She ended the attacker as she went into emergent labor and delivered her stillborn child. The Ekahl became better at fighting off the Jem'Hadar and better at evading. First contact by the Federation was made after the Dominion War, one last vessel remained, and less than 2000 people remained alive. Getting rescued by Starfleet, they were given time to adjust to friendlier aliens. They had known that there had to be other races out there but had never made contact with them outside of the Jem'Hadar attacks and first contact. Most of the Ekahl were relocated to a nondescript small colony moon in one of the more distant areas of Federation space. This allowed them their peace and quiet away from everyone else as most of them had turned scared and xenophobic. Not all Ekahl were that way. A few of the military-trained people stayed back while others entered the education system and started exploring the new found parts of the galaxy. Two military personnel from the Northern province were the first to leave Ekahl. Evy and Arun realized that they were considerably lucky and only had to deal with the horrors of war and never really got to truly enjoy their culture thrive. As they set up and enjoyed getting settled with the colony, they both realized they wanted to know what was out there. Together they decided to leave Ekahl and join Starfleet. Both were approached by Intelligence and both declined. Evy only knew war and she wanted a chance to explore. After starting at the Academy, she ended up pregnant. She went into operations and he went into Engineering. Arun delayed his cadet cruise until Evy completed hers. She took Oriana on her first assignment, a family friendly ship while Arun was on his cadet cruise. He was able to join her on Nimau after his cadet cruise before first assignment on the Kortin. They took turns with Oriana between their missions until she could get assigned herself to the Kortin. When they found out a Chief position was available on the Faraday and it would be stationed out of the Gamma Quadrant, Arun got an engineering position for the forward Starfleet team, and Oriana would be with him while the Faraday went to explore the Gamma Quadrant. After serving on the Faraday for a couple of years, she and Arun were reassigned to the USS Guinevere so they could be on the same assignment and keep their family together again. |
